I am an avid Star Wars semi-nerd, MMO fan and player. Kelvar is the avatar I use when playing video games and connecting with fellow gamers.
Many years ago when I first started playing Star Wars The Old Republic I decided to create a Sith Sorcerer. So when thinking of a character name I wanted a simple one word name. I settled on the name Kelvar. I wasn't trying to tie it to anything, it came completely out of the blue. I just liked the sound of it. I have been using that name for years now and it has become my gaming alter ego. I have used it in other games as well, like The Elder Scrolls Online.
The funny thing is whenever I joined groups, like for raids or group content, some people called me Kevlar by mistake. It is a running joke in one of my ESO guilds as the Guildmaster took a few months to get it right.
In this game (Star Wars The Old Republic) you also need to create a Legacy name to operate as a surname. So as I started leveling this character the game prompted me to choose a Legacy name. I wanted the name to have some tie in to the Star Wars Universe. So I decided to take the last name of the Expanded Universe character Mara Jade, and then I chose the last part of the name walker from the original name of Skywalker. Hence the name, Kelvar Jadewalker.
I created this website to be a mix of my experiences of the games I play. So my plan is to feature the following :
- Personal raiding achievements.
- Some basic how to guides for new players especially for things like leveling, crafting, or raiding.
- A Let's Play series for my two main games ESO and SWTOR
You will definitely get my unsolicited thoughts about the games I play. The good, bad and the ugly.
